Why Human Kill Birds,Animal and Fishes for food

Why Human Kill Birds,Animal and Fishes for food

the background to this question ignores the fact that humans are omnivores who can get concentrated energy, nutrients, and trace minerals from animal flesh. The plant material humans eat provides nutrient variety, some energy (except for grains), and flavor to their diet, however, these sometimes require more effort to harvest and prepare. Only the invention of agriculture allowed humans to have a steady supply of grain and plant food but it forced them to settle onto one location.
Obviously, the person asking this question has not been threatened yet with persistent hunger or starvation. The lack of sufficient amounts of food on a steady basis would remove any scruples against killing or eating any animals meant to be eaten.
When there was a lack of any food at all, people have even resorted to eating grubs (it is not just coincidence that the slang term for survival food also means insect larvae), rats, small birds, and worms.
Be thankful that there are people who know how to catch, kill, and butcher any type of animal. Be just as thankful that there are others who know what flowers, leaves, stems, fruits, and roots are safe to eat because putting just any unknown plant material into your mouth might be a very bad idea.
When it comes to survival of one's children, I'm going to bet that when there is insufficient food of any type, any food, even raw uncooked animal flesh, will be offered to the children first just so they won't go hungry.
